Instruction/advice

Postby pedalenclosures » Mon Apr 27, 2009 12:14 pm

Hello all,
I've done some searches for DVD/instruction stuff but I'd like a bit of clarification from y'all if possible.

I've been playing guitar for nearly 40 years now, but have had some medical problems that have rendered my hands numb, so playing "normal" guitar has become very difficult due to the lack of feeling, especially in my left hand. So, I've been thinking about moving to slide guitar to keep me in the game, so to speak.

I've never really played much slide, but I have a lot of the basic guitar stuff down. Does anyone know of a good series of DVD/books that can give me the basics for slide playing for someone that has rock/blues experience?

Looking for rock/blues slide, any/all tunings.

Thanks in advance for your help!

the Bob Brozman dvd set is very good. It gets very technical into fancy stuff and tricks.

Thanks, I've gotta start slow, the last time I played slide it sounded like I was strangling the cat!

I ordered the Roy Rogers one, but I'll research that one too!
