Can't Be Satisfied

Been working in Open G this week. Here's my latest crack at Muddy's classic (just guitar, no vocals)

Sounds good, what kind of guitar are you playing?

Thanks for the feedback folks. Lawson, I am playing a stock mid-to-late 1980's Fender Gemini II with Beard Special 29's. I have it mic'd with two condenser mics into a Yamaha analog board and then into Audacity on my Dell PC.

wow that sounds great. Really articulating those phrases cleanly. Nice picking! You have the phrasing down really well too. It's some nice stuff. A ton cleaner than I play... Your slide technique is nice and clean also.

You got a thing there, man. Sounds good. I might give a shot at that tune..

Thanks Nico, I appreciate it very much. I started trying to play that song a few months ago and I just couldn't get the feeling for it. So I put it down for a while and played some Open D - and listen to some Elmore James, Mississippi Fred and Derek and the Dominos - for a couple of months. Three or so weeks ago I tuned back to Open G because i was listening to some early Muddy Waters from a CD I had pciked up at the local library.

Well, this time the light went on and it started to come to me. Now if I could only sing and play the song at the same time.

By the way, nice work ashm86. Your reso sounds great!

Thanks Lizeroid!

I hear you on the singing and playing part....

I sooooo want to learn some MFMcD. I love his versions of Good Morning Little School Girl and Baby Please Don't Go.

Any idea where to get some tab of him?
