Ok. Here is the plan.

built from scratch semi-hollow body.
22 fret 24" scale
Bigsby Tremolo
DLR Humbucker and P90 at the neck and bridge respectively
Schaller strap locks
Steinberger Gearless Tuners
Gold hardware

I will post pictures and info as it progresses.

First, I started with an idea and a chunk of Ash. My Dad is a master woodturner and most of the wood for this project will come from his scraps. :)

Big Chunk of Ash roughly 4.5" thick at this point and about 3 feet long or so.

Now, I need to cut the block in half. The piece was about 9" wide so I couldn't run it through the tablesaw for a complete cut. So, I cut it as far as I could and then grabbed my chainsaw to finish it.

The Ash is now about 1.75" thick at this point and needs to be planed down to about 1.375" thick for the back of the body.

After planing, I glued the two pieced up with a strip of Walnut down the middle for color.

Ok, here is the back all sanded out and ready for patterning. I looked around the shop and found a piece of rosewood that I am going to use for the fretboard.

Yeah, no photos. Is the humbucker going at the neck or the bridge?
