Stop the Abuse!

Members of this forum are utterly insensitive!
You simply don’t care about people’s feelings with your outdated use of language that callously perpetuates repressive cultural stereotypes. This needs to stop!

For example, what about this constant reference to “ Itinerant Blind, Broke and Black Bluesmen?”

As of immediately, it is vital that corrective measures be instituted.

The proper methodology to express this term is “ Visually impaired, economically oppressed, African-American Entertainment Person on Tour”
Or, by calling respectable adults by their first names as a form of endearment.

Stop being so mean. No more of this "Blind Willie" stuff!

So from now on it should be:

"The visually impaired Mr. William McTell." Got it?

Blues should be called "Affectively Depressed Music" as well.

YOU MEAN EMOTIONALLY UNEVOLVED DON'T YOU?.
You simply don’t care about people’s feelings with your outdated use of language that callously perpetuates repressive cultural stereotypes. This needs to stop!
YOU SAY OUTDATED SO IT WAS ONCE OK, YOU SHOULDN'T BE CONDEMNING THE ENTIRE FORUM FOR SOME WHO MAY BE LEFT BEHIND IN THIS TECHNOLOGICAL AGE OF CONSTANT CHANGE.

For example, what about this constant reference to “ Itinerant Blind, Broke and Black Bluesmen?”
HE'S RIGHT HERE, BLACK IS REDUNDANT AS WHITEMEN CAN'T PLAY BLUES.

As of immediately, it is vital that corrective measures be instituted.
I WAS INSTITUTED ONCE AND IT DIDN'T DO ME ANY GOOD.

The proper methodology to express this term is
Visually impaired,
A LITTLE TOO MUCH SCOPE, BLIND INDICATES THE MORE SERVE END AND IS LIKELY ELICIT MORE ASSISTANCE.
economically oppressed
, MAY-BE ECONOMICALLY INEPT.
African-American
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BLACK BEING BEAUTIFUL ?
Entertainment Person on Tour”
LUMPING QUALITY ARTISTS IN WITH GEORGE MICHAEL OR MICHAEL JACKSON, I THINK NOT.
Or, by calling respectable adults by their first names as a form of endearment.
YOUR TRYING TO FORCE YOU ETIQUETTE ON TO US AND ONTO THE ARTIST, REMEMBER THEY MAY BE BLIND BUT THEY CAN SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.

Stop being so mean. No more of this "Blind Willie" stuff!
IF YOU HAD SEEN SOME OF MY DATES THEN YOU WOULDN'T QUIBBLE WITH BLIND WILLIE.

Now what Jellyroll should have said
"CLASSIC Comedy gentlemen", then nobody would be hurt.

Call me Mr Grumpy Pants. I've heard all these jokes in the past from hecklers so my conditioned response is fairly short and terse. I'm normally a nice guy. Honest.

Anybody remember the Stan Freberg "Ole Man River"? He starts to sing it and keeps on getting Politically Corrected too.
