Hello & a bit about me

Postby noakesy10 » Wed Apr 12, 2006 2:16 pm

Hello everyone,

Just found the site and its looks good. Been reading posts for the last two hours!

My names Matt and I'm 28 and from the UK. I play boogie woogie and blues piano - absolutely love it! I come from quite a musical family - my Dad is a very good blues pianist even if he won't admit it himself. He's backed a few good old blues boys from the US in the past and I've grown up listening to blues music.

Hopefully there'll be plenty of like minded people here to exchange views and ideas with.

That'll do for an introduction - hope I can catch up with you all soon.

Cheers

Matt

Welcome Matt, glad you could make it. I really dig that boogie woogie piano sound, and have always been a little envious of piano players......(chicks dig the piano). I have a hard enough time getting my thumb, and fingers to do different things. I cant even think about making all of 'em go different directions.

Hi Matt & welcome to the 'Big Road'! Plenty of us Brit-blues boy's around here (although a few are quite insane :D), so post often & check up on the 'Hometown Blues' section for U.K. - based blues events ;)

Ditto. Hopefully my e-mail treply worked, glad to have you here anyway. They are an odd bunch, not quite as odd as M21 trials riders, but odd & fun regardless. And you'll have to come to Broughton Astley next time it's on. Good crack.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Apr-13-06 AT 12:31 PM (EST)]Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Will definately be posting on the piano and other forums. Have plenty of questions to ask and I'll give any advice that I'm able to - might have more questions than answers though! I'm particularly interested to ask the advice of performers - I've played for years, but very few times with an audience. I have a feeling that I might just brick myself! Hope not because I'm keen to get involved in some way.

Anyway, thanks again - speak to you all soon.
