Greetings from Spain

Postby purplehaze » Thu Jul 03, 2003 6:12 am

Hi,
just sttopped to greet everyone in here.

I'm David, I'm 23 and I live in Barcelona.

I got my guitar back ('cos it was touring all Spain without me) about a year ago. I used to play Spanish and Catalan folk songs, as well as some South-American, but now I wanna do the Blues.

A guy from Tennesse told me about the forum, so I came.

I hope you'll have patience with me 'cos I'm the ask-everything kind of guy and well, I haven't found yet any Spanish who can help me with the Blues, so you'll be my mentors hehehe :-)

Mail me if you need my help

Cheers!

Hi, David! Glad to see you over here!

Hope I didn't confuse you too badly trying to explain how to play a basic blues shuffle in E. Did that tab I pointed you to make sense? I need to find one that's got a sound file with it so you can look at it and hear it, too. Somebody on here may have one bookmarked handily.

I've got to run pick up my tux for my daughter's wedding rehearsal this evening!

DirkH has a website that might be right up your alley, David.

http://blueslessons.de.vu

It has lessons, tabs, and soundfiles. Give it a try.

Hi ya Cas, you can kiss whatever you want, but the lyrics do actually say "kiss the sky" :-P

See you!

Hey a PH factor-

Welcome to the BigRoad!

Hazey- I'm quite sure CAS knows what the correct lyrics are. I believe that was a play on words for the benefit of your nickname as Carol is one of the few women on this board. :D

Then we must do something to attract women. What would be the blues without them?

Carol, keep up the good work!
and sorry if I sounded rude when talking about the lyrics... I gotta go language school and learn polite English as well :)

Whaaa!! Kiss the SKY!!! Dang, you mean I've been singing it wrong for the last 30 something years!! Holy Hannah!

You must admit mine were a bit more interesting...and PurpleHaze, no offence taken. It takes more than that to offend me--not much mind you just more.
