Sorry - not ignoring you.

These aren't acts I've heard of - but there's so much great music out there it's hard to keep up with it all.

In the meantime, where in Slovenia do you live? I've been there a couple of times - Ljubljana is a beautiful city, and you have some really wonderful mountains.

I remember, and occasionally listen to, Funkadelic. Pretty good bluesy acid rock.

Oh yea, I still listen to P-funk.

And a lot of the Party bands working around California while I was living there were Funk-inflected Blues.

This afternoon I was listening to Freddie King's Texas Cannonball. Some of the stuff on there is funky blues.

Don't know much about the funk end of things, but I keep returning to Freddie King's "Boogie Funk" on a compilation cd. I've said it here before, I can't listen to it lying down as it makes me look like I've got epilepsy. Find it if you can, and then try standing still; I can't.

Track down John Lee Hooker's Free Beer and Chicken. Most of his fans can't stand thr album but the man himself loved it and it sure does have the funk.

It's also worth tracking down some of James Brown's instrumental albums.

Greetings bro,

I am really glad that there is someone else out there who really love the blues funky style of Lopez and Sayce. Check out Sean Chambers, Seth Freeman, Barry Richman. I'm also looking for notations for these guys.
