Tootin' On The Melodica

Postby ricochet » Sat May 27, 2006 11:32 pm

Got out my Melody Man melodica (which I got from our host PappyJ at Coast To Coast Music) this afternoon. I've been rather neglecting it since bringing in Christine, the Hammond organ. It's a fun little thing to toot on. As I'm getting ready to head down to the beach, I think I'll take it along as my musical instrument. It's a lot easier to pack and carry than a guitar (with or without amp), and it's a pretty versatile little thing, really. There's a good likelihood I'll drive everybody nuts playing War's "Low Rider." That's what I got stuck on this afternoon.

That is great! I have a melodica too. I play blues and jazz with it occasionally. I did one song on my last CD, using the melodica. It is a hohner, 32 key model that I bought in NYC in 1996. You going to post a song so we can hear it? :)

Hey, I didn't say I was good at it. But I do love to toot on it!
