Results of the request for support

A place for the owners and managers of Big Road Blues to make general announcements to the members.

I think we both win when you join the club. You get better prices, and at some point you will save money overall, even counting the club membership fee. Coast to Coast music wins because as a club member you tend to make purchases here first because you are getting better prices, so we tend to sell more total dollars worth to club members. I'll order in some Golden Gate thumb picks and get them up on the web site next week.

Also, I've had a couple of requests to post our address for those who may just prefer to send in a contribution instead of using the PayPal donation. Just earmark your check for Big Road Blues, make it out to Coast to Coast Music, and send it here:

There's something weird going on with this thread. I keep seeing it show up as a new thread, but the last post is this one, #15, from PappyJ several days ago.

See how there's an anchor next to the thread title on the 'topics' list?

Err. Wait. There was one the last time I looked at work a day or so ago... it's gone now.

Anyway, the anchor meant it was anchored in that position. On some boards, that's called a 'sticky thread', but I imagine that PappyJ had the good sense [em]not[/em] not to call anything 'sticky' around here, given our propensity for the occasional puerile comment.

No, it keeps showing with a new last post date and time on the date I look at it.

Of course, now that's because there ARE new posts, but for days it was showing that when there was none.

It's not a new phenomenon, I remember asking Doc Mojo about the same thing.

In fact, in the past we've seen threads over a year old pop up and start drawing responses. Just some sort of curious "feature" of the board software, I think.

Sometimes it is, but it's also been because the old posts rose from the dead on a few occasions.

I saw it too, and assumed that I had missed the new posts as the anchored post was at the top.
