Stolen Guitars

Postby cas » Tue Feb 21, 2006 2:18 am

My guitar teacher Robin had 3 guitars stolen from his garage on the 14th. Lousy valentine's day present.

Here's the link to pictures and descriptions of the guitars. I know it's a long shot, but you never know where they'll end up.

That really sucks.
I guess there's not much chance of them turning up in this neck of the woods.
I hope Robin has insurance, in case they don't get recovered.

That really stinks, no honor among thieves, that's for sure.

We'll be on the lookout. (That's B.O.L. for you constabulary types out there.)

We're all supposed to be civilised, but I still get the urge to practice slow, public and selective amputation on these vermin. Best of luck in the search.

Carol, I posted a link to this thread over on the IGS Forum. There are a lot of great guitar players there from all over.

Hopefully someone will be able to help.

Carol:

Here's a good collection of links about how the "guitar community" worked to recover some stolen instruments last year. It may give you, your teacher and others some ideas ... as well as some hope that there can be a happy ending:

I'll keep my eyes open up here (Seattle) -- and keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks B-MG...the more people that know the harder it'll be for the slime who did this.

Russ, thanks for the links. It's nice to know things can sometimes have a happy ending.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-22-06 AT 04:38 PM (EST)]Thanks again McGoo...I've passed this along to Robin.

Carol

Also, on Robin's website it clearly says they were stolen 2/14/06 not 2005. Not sure where the confusion was.
