Forums back to normal ?- Report errors here

Postby pappyj » Thu Jan 19, 2006 4:17 pm

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Apr-06-06 AT 04:49 PM (EST)]It looks like the new host company technicians have restored everything to normal operation since the "Great Crash" of January 2006. I'm sure there will be things that don't work right, so please report them here and I'll see if we can take care of any problems that arise.
Regards,

For a while yesterday a lot of currently active threads showed a "locked or archived" error when I tried to post on them, and several threads that I started disappeared. Looks like what's here's working normally now, though.

Yesterday, Nizer and I both posted replies to lason's "Bending" thread in the Harp Forum. That afternoon the posts disappeared and are still gone.

No biggie, everything appears to be working now.

Thanks for all of your efforts, Pappy!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-19-06 AT 06:15 PM (EST)]My IE6 and Firefox both give a security warning regarding the certificate validity for the Paypal link. The Verisign certificate appears OK (expires in March), but my browsers don't seem to like it.
Anyone else seeing this?

PS: Firefox no longer raises an alarm, as of ten minutes ago.

Things are most definitely not normal now. Threads are disappearing en mass.

Problems!

Postby bosco » Sat Jun 03, 2006 2:00 pm

Pappy-

Still experiencing a lot of weirdness!

After logging in, when I go to post, the forum when require me to log in again before showing the "Post a Reply" window...then ask for the log in information again when I go to submit the post.

Many times the post just dissappears entirely. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Anyone else experiencing this? HELP!

Try deleting your BRB cookies and logging back in, it sounds like a cookie problem. If the problem continues after that let me know and I'll pass it on to the techs.
