Yeah Farmaz, That's what I was on about. Was jamming with a mate earlier and did a white stripes-esque version of Can't be satisfied, that was fun!

I dig the Stripes. They've certainly made a nice niche for themselves. Sadly, rumour intel says they are no longer and that Jack is with the Racontuers (sic). He's also upcoming in a new flick with none other than Jimmy Page.

Cheers, TB.

And his other new band... he gets around a lot! Uhmmm Dead Weather or something like that, he bangs the drums in that band!

I think they might still be together... just not as active.

White Stripes and Zep ??? Never been much of a Zep fan but c'mon , Bonham could PLAY drums--Meg White can barely sit on the stool and couldn't even make a decent porn film

Is "a decent porn film" an oxymoron?

And more importantly, are you saying she has made some that are not decent, or she doesn't have the potential to make a decent one? If it's the first one, I know what I'm searching for when I get home tonight.

In fairness to the Stripes, they were around for four years and had released two albums before the Keys even formed. While, I too, prefer the Black Keys, if there was any ripping off, I'm afraid it would be the other way around.

Could be, but talent (black keyes) vs no talent (White stripes)

Ooo. Harsh.
I love Meg's drumming(ducks for cover)
I wish I had a drummer that would just sit and play simply, and not be bothered about filling the space, though I'm a very sparse guitarist anyway!
I don't really like the Black Keyes for some bizarre reason.

You like Meg's drumming--c'mon--

I've heard minimalist crap but she is a joke

Why not play a 2 string out of tune guitar - that would be cool too

More Emporer's new clothes syndrome

Sparse guitar and no drum fills--why not put the drumset and guitar on stage and just have the audience watch it for 20 minutes while no one plays and charge 10 bucks a head

That would be so art school cool

No, seriously, I like her drumming too. I didn't really know any better, I don't know "good" drums from "bad".

here is a small sample of what jungle is for you yanks - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwqjADoZpQs

now thats drumming imo, but as i said i also rate meg white's style too.

i just dont get how people dislike em so much :?
