Condenser mic for acoustic guitar?

Postby De Ferre » Tue Jun 23, 2009 9:01 pm

Hi!

Is there anyone using these mics on scene? I wonder if I should buy one for blending the sound with the pickup.
Any affordable suggestions? Experiences? Stories?

Thanks!!!

I use audio technica AT2020 a cardoid condenser, and an AT2021 small diaphragm condenser. The 2020 is an excellent room mic and the 2021 aimed right where the fretboard joins the body on my Delphi works very well. I have a little gig case I keep them in. Excellent mics.

Cheers, TB.

Thanks!!!

Those mics look really good.

I wonder if anyone has any experience with the AKG Perception 170 or the AKG C1000S MKII.
They're affordable too!!!

Cheers!!!

I've used an AKG C1000 and like it. I'm not sure of the exact submodel.
