Yeah, Bosco.

My heart goes out to you.

I've also been dealing with death a lot here lately.

Mortality.

Hang in there.

Bosco, so sorry to hear of your loss -- and my thoughts will be with you. My guitar, too, has been an important outlet in trying times this past year. Thankfully, music has been, and will be, there for all of us.

Maybe I'm just weird, but when something just cuts me to the heart I can't even begin to play music. Went through a lot of that early this year.

My sympathies as well, Bosco! Maybe it's time to write a tune. It is great to be able to have shared wonderful times with friends like that.

Sorry about your friend bosco. I don't know what its like to lose a friend to death, but I know what it's like to lose a friend.

Beautiful, no? Yes, music is a powerful thing forged from the depths of the heart. I've always felt that musicians have the capability of great power through music. They have an antenna that allows them access to a channel which most cannot turn to.

Well, it's too late to unhijack Dean's thread, but I've posted an obituary for Mike in the "Talking Blues" forum-

[link:www.bigroadblues.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/740.html|My Friend Mike]

You might enjoy reading it as he was a very accomplished musician despite unusual circumstances.

Thanks for all of the kindness and prayers. Love you guys.

I'm the same way Ric. My mom almost died earlier this year...had a hard time finding the heart to pick up the guitar for awhile.

Bosco...sorry about your friend. You're both in my prayers.

On the contrary,,,,I've found the Guitar to be a most comforting thing.

it's what I turn to in Good times & Bad.

Emotional ups & downs only add to the emotion that comes thru my fingers.

To me,,,playing the Guitar is fueled by pure Emotion.

Last night was the highest point in my musical journey so far. We drove for 45 minutes out into the boonies to a country church in a small town, to do our Christmas show. Wow! The church was packed, and I was suprised how many young people showed up to see a bunch of fogies play Christmas music. They clapped and sang and just had a good old time. The whole house stood for our last song. The reception and meeting the people afterwards was cool as heck. I'll never forget the feeling. I'm still high!
