JUST FOR FUN

Postby LesFromChicago » Tue May 12, 2009 4:49 pm

Recorded last night, Fender M-80 amp with 40+ yr-old Kay (or Kay-like) archtop.
Recorded with a mike plugged right into PC using Microsoft Sound Recoder, which I also used to convert it from .wav to .mp3.
This is the guitar into clean channel of the amp., with voice not thru the amp.

tHIS IS NOT A REAL SONG, JUST DOODLING ON THE GUITAR AND SPONTANEOUS SINGING WHILE RECORDING WHAT THE AMP SOUND LIKE. Hoped you all would get a chuckle out of it.

Sounds like a real song to ME.

Good stuff, in fact!

That's good Les. It makes me wish I was cruisin' down some gravel roads in a '50 Chevy pickup with the windows down and the dog on the seat.

And a deer or a game bag of rabbits in the bed of the truck?

(Thanks Bubba)

That's good stuff. Goes to show most of the gear stuff we talk about is just our side hobby. All you need is a mic and the most basic of recording gear, it's all about the performance.

Nice timbre to your voice, which I find the most important thing in a singer (and hate my own!). Great sense of timing and swing to it.
