When I saw Robert Jr. Lockwood before he died, he was playing a Gibbo 12 clean through a rented Genz Benz. It sounded awesome!

Grady, still haven't seen or heard a clip of that VOS LP. Pass that spleef now!

Cheers, TB.

Love 'em. Except for tuning them. My tricone stays in C#-vastapol because I hate tuning it (though I do like that tuning!)

I want a 12-string, ladder-braced, parlour guitar, for non-slide playing.

Like Grady, I recently bought a 12 string and can't put the thing down. I'm sure the novelty of it has a lot to do with this, but I can see playing this on a regular basis after the novelty fades.

Mine's a Stella/Harmony H913, made somewhere between 1969 and 1971. Cost me $275 with shipping. Even with the extra light .10 gauge strings I have on it now, the sound just explodes out of this thing. For anyone looking for a budget priced 12 string, I highly recommend one of these (or its Silvertone counterpart.) I've seen the Stella/Harmony model I have going for $450 to $500, so I guess I got a good deal. You'll just have to look around a bit.

And, yeah, changing strings is a royal pain.

Gotta love that tacky soundhole rosette.
