Fat Tone

How does Phil Wiggins get that incredibly fat tone on his acoustic diatonic?
The only similar acoustic tone I have heard is Big Walter Horton but his
recordings are disappointing with the exception of "Easy".

big fat guitar- big fat tone. I think he uses one of those jumbo Gibson acoustics.
