Cyberspace Blues

Postby allanlummox » Sun Aug 24, 2008 5:43 pm

Here's something kinda new.

On Thursday at 2 pm west coast time I'll be playing my second live Shoutcast on Second Life at a "bar" called the "Not Too Hot Blues Club".

Didn't plug the first one because I wasn't sure how it would work - the first one was a combination of recordings, including snips from the 2 CD's and from "Tales from the cube" as well as 2 songs I recorded especially for the show, followed by a half hour live broadcast from inside the cube.

This week will be all live, so put on your "Tron" suits, jump into the computer and check it out!

Hey Dan I did a gig there (2nd life) last week a buddy of mine set me up. I guess this is something kinda new it all seems pretty strange to me but the people there sure liked the music. Maybe I'll see you there sometime.

Cool beans, houserocker.

What was the venue you played at called?

It is strange, but - and audience is an audience.

Lummo did you make it by? I was so freaked out about the gig, first the owner was not there and had forgotten about booking the gig, once they found him and things got straightened out it was 1/2 past the hour. I couldn't figure how to get up on the stage and it was all a bit unnerving. I'm sure everyone there got a big laugh out of it but once things got going they seemed to like the music, I was so freaked out I really don't remember everything I played it all seemed so surreal. I'm going to be back there next Wed at 5pm sl time. I did give you a shoutout on stage maybe you heard it.

I wound up listening to a singer at the Living Room - pretty good and I lost track of time.

What's your name on SL?
I'll look for you there.

I'll try to catch the Wed at 5pm sl time show.

Had a ball.

Server crashed halfway through the performance, but I got back on quick, and the stream didn't stop - it went really well. Did a live broadcast to about 43 people, looks like.

Cool stuff.
