Attention all washboard players.
The Boneyard Boys (new hokum blues & ragtime outfit) are short one washboard guy.
We're playing on Sunday night 4th May, anyone fancy joining us for the event in Sheffield?
Bring your washboard!

Stumblin', good luck with your washboard search -- I'd buy one and show up if you weren't a quarter of the world away. But I just wanted to compliment you on a great band name, Boneyard Boys. 8)

Thanks :D
We got it sorted out, a volunteer showed up last night. I'm going to run him through the material later today.

Well, that was my initial feeling.
However, the guy is an experienced and talented multi-instrumentalist, but he'd never played the washboard before. We had a good run through of the tunes last night, and he's now confident in his washboard technique.
Despite years of playing the guitar, I've never been able to translate any of my rhythmic sense into anything even remotely resembling a coherent rhythm on any percussion instrument, so I understood when he said he needed a bit of a rehearsal. It was fun too, and the washboard sounds great.

Well he's not going anywhere until he's done all that stuff in the tub first.

Sorry I won't be there, I'll be 150+ miles off in Cumbria playing silly buggers with motorcycles, but have one for me, OK?
