I thought I'd be famous by now. Oh well I guess I better keep practicing.
I modify my pick holder every time I put it on. My right arm ends at the elbow so the first version was an extension almost like a forearm. Now I'm down to just an inch or so off the end of my arm and that points straight down. If you were holding your arm out in front of you.
That has really improved my strumming, I can strum both directions now without looking and hit the strings I was aiming for.
I have to play lapstyle, the angles don't work out for playing upright.
Go ahead all of you. Hold your guitar normally and try to strum with your elbow.
Don't do that anymore it looks funny.
I can do a fairly good 12 bar with the Stevens bar and get a pretty good speed out of it. Not ready for prime time though. I need to force myself to work on the cords now.
I'll keep working on it, you keep watching the telly for my big premiere.
