Small damn world

Postby fat paul » Tue Jul 24, 2007 1:34 am

I was standing by my cart full of amps and basses in the Santa Fe NM plaza waiting to start setting up to play. A Woman and her husband came up and asked if I was fat paul. I replyed that indead I am. What she then said just about floored me. "Your sister Ruth from Portland Ore sends her regaurds". It was nice of her friends to take time from there vacation to see us play the gig. Totaly cool. I have not seen my sis in close to eight years, No acramony, just very little contact. Two things came to mind and have stayed with me since. It is a small damn world and I miss Portland more with the passing of each day. I am due a visit to the rainy city soon and maby some day will get to move back home.
thanks for listening

I would imagine you have replied already, but if it had of been me, I would of fired an email off, informing the agency that I was really booked up solid, before and after the date offered, BUT, I did have an opening for the specific slot mentioned. As everyone else said though, hang on to your money.

Thats a really cool story! I've only been to Portland twice (and I live in the Seattle area) but from what I remember, it's beautiful. Hope ya get to travel back soon.
