It's All Good!

Lined up our first "blues Jam Band" gig on the fourth of July. It was at a Christian Coffehouse that is located on the town square, where all the festivities take place. People stop in for free cold water (sadly, rare these days) and a dose of A/C. We are a three piece with no vocals, so I was a bit worried about pulling off something that would be interesting to the crowd. Starting time was at 11:00 a.m., and at about 10:30, the drummer spotted a friend of ours/guitar player from out of town and asked if he wanted to sit in for an hour. Thankfully, he agreed and had a great time, and he's a heck of a player also. It made my day much more fun and relaxing, as I could sit back a bit and play mostly rhythm, which I prefer. He did have to leave early, so I had the last half hour to myself :? , so we played "Sen Sa Shun" and a funky made up groove, and kept it simple.

Playing live for people, it seemed like everything was sped up to about twice the speed - and a missed note here or there really stands out! :)

Hope all had a safe and fun fourth!

Keep on Bluesin'! 8)

Its allways fun to have others sit in. They bring a new perspective to the music. Sound like a cool gig
