Bike Night Gig

Postby houserocker » Wed Mar 07, 2007 2:05 pm

My band has a gig this Thursday the 8th at a Harley Davidson Dealership in Brandon Fl. for their bike night. I am really looking forward to it as the Bikers really seem to appreciate our music. They are building us our own stage and tent and they expect about 2500 to 3000 people there. The people that booked us really liked the original music we do from our "Trouble in the Southland" C.D. and are very excited to have us playing. I'm hoping this will open up some new venues for us with the biker crowd. I'll try to post some pic's on Friday of the gig. I even went out and bought a Harley shirt for the gig.

I played a weekly gig at a bikers' club during a couple of years and they were always a great public, I must say. They listen to the music.

Success!!!

I've said it before, blues is about reality and it don't get more real than being out there on a bike.

Played quite a few Biker gigs over the years.

They've treated us better than all of the bar owners and festival promoters put together! Always lots of vittles and plenty of cold beer.

Have a blast Charlie.

The show was awesome! They built us a huge stage and we had the full band, 9 peices. Got another gig from the Harley Dealership and some more from other people in the crowd. All in all a great gig! I'll try to post a couple of pics later. Bikers Rock!

Was there as many people as you thought? Biker bar gigs are my favorite. How much power were you using?

About 2500 people showed up. We use JBL MPro Speakers, a 500 Watt JBL Subwoofer, Crown 700 watt power amp for the mains and a powered mixing board for the moniters. System works great for an outdoor gig!
