New Guy Says Hello

Postby abort » Wed Jan 15, 2003 5:12 pm

Hello All!

I've been interested in learning slide for quite some time and came across this page/forum by accident yesterday. From what I see, it's not only an excellent resource for slide, and all things blues, it seems to be loaded with friendly, knowledgable, helpful people. I'm looking forward to frequenting this forum, and, over time, hopefully contributing.

I've been playing guitar for about a year. I own a Larrivee D03R, a Larrivee D03-12, an American Fender Deluxe Fat Strat, an old Epiphone archtop(that I plan to set up for slide) and a beat up, but good sounding Seagull cutaway (I also plan to set up for slide) I'm still working on my guitar theory as well as my technique, but I suppose we all are.

Houndog...

I never mentioned any names as to who the "basket cases" are, but there's something known as "guilt by association." Shaddup and eat your gruel!

Houndog,

The only pics available were of blues greats...didn't feel worthy to choose one of those. At least that pic is interesting. I believe it's a person with a giant screw through him. Have fun with the interpretation.

As for the name, it's from the old 'Abort, Retry, Fail' message I use to see all the time when computing. It was originally a nickname for my online games and now applies to all my online stuff.

I'll establish myself as a ne'er do well in no time. Don't need a name or picture to do that.
