Played the local biker bar last Friday night. What a trip. Gave the hire guy a copy of our demo and he went nuts over it. Another band was to play and he crossed them out and stuck us in. The other band showed up and it was strange for a bit. One owner wanted the other band to play, it was a woman, and the other owner kept telling her no that Blues Rockit is gonna play. From the first screaming note to the last the people yelled, hollered and danced. We do 90 percent originals now. After the second set I went and talked to this owner lady and she told me we were doing a great job. They are going to do two bands a month and we are one of them. After the last song the people rushed to the front of the stage and started chanting "more, more, more". I was amazed. Three guys came up to us and each said, "I was just sitting home and my friend called and said you gotta come see this band". A great compliment I thought. Everywhere we go people dig what we do but these people flipped over us. It felt good to be appreciated. The bands in Ogden Utah are boring, dead, no humor or personality. We on the other hand come alive when we turn the amps on. It was a good feeling. We did the "phone call" skit before one of our songs and the crowd ate it up. On the last song the first verse is about giving me your name, the second is giving me your number and the third is giving me your lovin'. It's called "Baby Please Give It To Me". I'm on my knees praying and begging please, please, please and the women were yelling "Yes". Never before have we ever had a response like that. It was great. Great feeling. I'll never forget that night.
