Cool Hangers

I saw a few of the BRB members have these; "String Swings" guitar hangers. Best thing I ever did. It gets the guitars off the floor out of the way...yet available to play at an instant. I love these things.

Yep, I've got a couple of the Hercules hangers, and another that I can't remember the name of. They really do save on floor space.

Thanks... I love your Bendaway!! That tele is a Squire pro-tone I modded it with a p-90 neck and Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue bridge pickup, a four way switch and no-load tone control. Its my favorite workhorse guitar.

Cool, I didn't know squire even made a hollow tele! I've always liked them. Speaking of P-90's, here's the updated picture of my Bendaway with a good view of the String Swing

Wall hangers are what I need for my music room/studio that way I don't have to open a case everytime I want to play. I have children in the house who love to "touch" stuff and theres nothing that will boil your blood faster than when your 3 year old opens a case and precedes to drag your mint condition strat out of it. I'd like to hang mine on the wall to keep those grubby little mitts of my guitars but have them close by when inspiration strikes.

If you go to Big Lots or some hardware stores, you'll find rake hangars that are U shaped with 1 1/2 in screw in ends. Pull the arms apart a little bit and they work great for hanging guitars. The last bunch I got came in an 8 pack for 4.99. They work for everything, guitars, basses, mandolin, violin, etc.

We have a strip of about 2by4" pine along the wall in this room, with nails driven into them, and then a piece of plastic tubing over the nails, they work well, damn cheap as well, easy to adjust to the right size when they're being put up!

Cool Hey what ever works.... I like the fact that Im not going to the closet and pulling out the case...then put it all back again. Now when ever I get the urge to play a few licks , I just grab it off the wall and play. Its just as easy to put back.

I have a friend who is a professional bass player in an 80's cover band who has his "office" walls covered with basses hanging in such fashion. All are collectors items, autographed by someone in a big time band, etc.

Looks neat, but the coolest thing is the resonator bass he has. Cool, cool, cool!

Wow... Resonator Bass... "The only time a bass in actually in the mix" hehehe I want one It'll go nice with the Resonator, and the resonator mandolin which I want!
