You've passed the fabled "1000 posts" barrier. You've still got a long way to go before you can hope to compete with the undisputed champion Ricochet but you're certainly a contender now!

Everyone give SRVLives a huge round of applause and we hope he enjoys his special prize, a set of official Big Road Blues steak knives, perfect for chopping that pesky meat or serving as an improvised slide.

Now all I gotta do is transfer all those posts over to the Temple to pep things up a little......

With the shape the Temple was in before traffic picked up considerably over the past couple days, had you decided to copy all 1003 posts over to that site, it probably would have imploded. Congratulations SRVL! Just goes to show that you DO actually have something to say. Are those steak knives any good? When I hit 1000 posts, can I request the Miracle Slicer? I already have steak knives.

I'm hot on your heels SRVL! You're gonna have to keep posting to stay ahead of me... I'll break the 1,000 post barrier in the not to distant future, can't wait to see what the prizes will be by then-

With my luck it'll be that broken toaster that BW has been trying to give away over on the TOB and a weekend with DABNEY Coleman!

Wow!... encouragemnet from the King of the Posters :D

Thanks guys... I'm in the middle of compiling all 1005 posts into a book. Send no money... just guitars. If you're not completely satisfied... then it's no wonder you're such a miserable lonely sod!

Now, if only my wife was interested in the blues... then we'd have something to talk about!

Hey JellyRoll, we can't award the steak knives to SRVL. He's not allowed to have anything sharp.

Dang. I was just noticing I had passed the 300 mark when I ran across this thread.

I guess some of us are just perpetual beginners.

SRVL, you want guitars? I'll send you a Kay flat-top worth about US$25 (don't know how that works out in Ozzies, probably about 10 bucks) complete with an original broken neck in exchange for your compendium of 1,000 posts. Hey with a little work, the guitar should should sound pretty good. Which is more than we can say for your posts. :-)

out,
Chilbert

"Now all I gotta do is transfer all those posts over to the Temple to pep things up a little......"

Unlike the Temple, we don't have any easily accessed statistics on the Big Road, however (is this sad - or is it sad?) in an idle moment or two I did a quick analysis (posh for adding up) and find that the Road has about 17,700 messages, in nearly 2000 topics.
