Big Road Blues Radio????

Postby drmojo » Sat Aug 17, 2002 3:47 am

NOt as far-fetched an idea as you might think!

I'm tied in with live365.com radio and am pondering the possibility of launching an on-web radio station that plays nothin' but blues from members of the BRB forum.

You'd have to be able to send me (1) mp3 files of your music, from a basic home recorded guitar/vocals to studio work(2) a cd of your music should you happen to have one.

It's an interesting idea -- the option to cruise BRB while you listen to the music.

Again, just thinking -- anybody up for it? Who's able to provide me with files of your music or a cd???

Not yet.

I am recording tomorrow...
Demo's of some songs I've written recently (and a rather rending tale some of them tell, especially strung end-to-end)

A friend is bringing a laptop with Cakewalk and all the periferal's
(and some good mics) here....I've wanted to record in the living room here since we moved in, this room sounds GREAT.

Excellent idea Dr.Moj,
the last batch of stuff I recorded and going to record is all self penned, so no prs probs.
How do you want it...I can send a cd to you etc.

And to push the line further...how about a BRS members compilation cd...all sales to support the BRS forum....?

adios,
Lovat.

Hey Doc, I hear live365.com will be increasing their fees, I hope this doesn't put a damper on your plans.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-03-04 AT 08:18 PM (EST)]Shoutcast radio is free and so is all the software for it.
I have broadcasted a few times on it but being on dialup my streams skipped. One day when I am able to afford cable or dsl I would like to do it again.

If you need any info on setting up a station or getting the software let me know, I would be happy to help.

Who can advise on the "Public Domain" (or not) issues - it's surely a factor in this?
