What makes a great blues guitarist?

OK this is totally subjective. One's person's great may not be another's.

For me is about far more than just technique. But that's part of it too.

For me it's about tone, taste and technique...

Tone: that great sound that just seems to connect with your soul

Taste: as much about knowing what not to play as what to play.

Technique: yes there are certain notes and chords that work better than others. So you got to know them.

What do y'all think?
