Oh yes, Maestro, oh yes. John, I was going to suggest that you position your camera a little more towards the peg head so that we can see what your fretting hand is doing, but in the last two or three cuts, you have done just that. It's essential to see what that fretting and sliding left hand is doing, John, so that we can rip off your chops . It's true! I'm just starting on bottleneck slide and I find your vids extremely helpful. Today I was watching which finger you mute with. There's no charge for your online lessons, I hope. Peace.
Haha, guys! Thanks for being interested in my playing, never thought it to be anything to rip off.. I just want to demonstrate the guitars, just improvising!
I'll think about that camera angle in the future...
A new clip here from a small live gig I did recently..
Both my old Regal Dobro's on stage, a perfect match!!
Tuned in open C and F here and they worked so well together!! The volume is pretty much equal, so for a live show this is better than if I bring the old National Duolian along, it's simply to powerful compared to the Dobro's..
Thanks! And the action is too low right now. Also the saddle is slightly radiused which is not so cool for slide playing. Will fix such things later on!
As usual, your video is awesome! You always inspire me to grab my resonator. Even though I don't have an ounce of your chops, I keep trying. I wish I could take lessons from you haha.
Thanks, man!! Next time I'm in the US playing I hope to get some gigs in your area! Would be fun to meet and jam. But I have no idea when that might happen..
