Happy New Year everyone
The article Is this the twilight of blues music?can be found
here - http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertain ... ull.column

I remember reading in an encyclopaedia in 71 or 72 ( Columbia I think) on the apparent terminal decline in Rock as a result of the infamous The Altamont Speedway Free Festival, hoping this opinion is just as wrong.

i don't believe they are wrong this time. Live blues is harder and harder to find. indeed any live music

Less and less venues willing to pay a couple of bucks to have real music

The article contradicts itself, first admisinistering last rites over a dying Chicago live blues scene, then ending with a list of regular live blues venues in Chicago, a list which, omits 2 or 3.
