Earl is in the Doghouse!

That was the announcement that would go out over KFPT 90.1 FM radio, when Bluesman Earl Gilliam would have one of his famous get togethers at the small property in Tomball TX, just North of Houston. The Doghouse was a converted mechanics shop that housed Gilliam's studio, but it also served as a place for Sunday cookouts where legends gathered and mentored younger blues artists. Gilliam passed away this week, and the Houston Blues scene feels the loss of this keystone artist.
