Do you have a bass amp around? Bass amps substitute as keyboard amps nicely. Alotta amp manufacturers sell inexpensive bass amps; as soon as you call it a keyboard amp, they raise the price. You jus' can't use low output guitar amps; keyboard signals will overload 'em.

Heck, I thought keyboard amps were cheap subs for acoustic guitar amps. They're awfully similar.

From what I've seen, most keyboard amps actually have a mic input also, with seperate controls for that input, thats an ideal situation, it's the wife that will be playing, and she sings lead, even for jammin at home it works would be good.

I doubt that you could do much better for the money (buying new, that is) than to look at the Roland KC-60 Keyboard amp. It's a 40-watt,3 channel cutey, with an XLR mic input, and a subwoofer extension jack. They're about $350, U.S.,I think, but you can google for prices on 'em. I use a Peavey KXR100,but it's big,and doesn't have a mic input. My buddy bought a used Fender for half the price I spent, and it's got 2 mic inputs, 80 watts, and sounds better than mine, but it's also large. The Roland is very compact, and they do make larger, higher output models with similar designs. It's hard to beat Roland for keyboard amps, for the price.
