Half Remembered John Lee Hooker song

Postby stumblin » Tue May 10, 2011 10:56 pm

This has been driving me crazy for a while.
Essentially, Mr. Hooker's telephone is broken, he reports the fault to the operator, who tells him something along the lines of: "Your telephone ain't broke, Johnny, you just ain't got no friends."
It's one of those instances of real, hard-bitten blues delivered with a doorstep sized slice of wry humour.
Please someone remind me of the title, because I really can't afford the time to listen to every John Lee Hooker disc in my CD cupboard.
I'm relying on the BRB Council of Geniuses. Just please don't make me update iTunes!
