guitar center backing tracks

I recorded these tonight. It is the slow blues backing track pete anderson did for a guitar center contest. I rarely get to mix my recordings with a full band, and I know pete, so I figured I would give them a shot. I also don't get to do hand held harp mic with a band behind me very often. I listened to about 5 seconds of each track and found only one that felt loose enough for me. I then recorded 2 versions spontaneously making up my words and music. Here they are- total time on recording and mixing about 20 minutes:

I recorded with another one of the guitar center backing tracks. It is the chicago beat or something like that. I used a stock delta frost, shure 57, princeton reverb reissue. I have held a harp and mic in my hands probably less than a hour over the past 25 years. I had fun with this one. It reminded me of my younger days with full blown amped sound and a real band behind me. Walter

I did these with the guitar center backing tracks. I got into working with all the tremelo going on with the guitar. I did these with only listening to a few seconds of the track and then set 3 copies down on the recording program and went one right after the other. Walter
