Bottleneck, it's an e-v m43u modified by Greg Heumann. he added a transformer inside the case to up the impedance and also a volume pot, and installed a screw-on connector and an adapter to 1/4".
it has balls. amp is the silvertone 1482, single 12, 17-25 watts. this mic sounds great through the bassman as well.

Hey jbone, I like yer voice too. I'd love to hear ya' sing some old Cash, Merle, Hank, etc. Sorry if that offends you, but ol' honky tonk Country is to my liking. :D

no offense taken bubba. in fact we do a hank or 2, a cash or 2. roots and blues covers a lot of territory, and the more i learn the more blurry the dividing lines become. after all, anybody can have the blues and express it. johnny, hank and merle are 3 guys who knew blues and let it out via voice and guitar.

those guys were early inspirations right along with muddy, wolf, and a host of others.

and- no offense meant but we even do a few of dylan's songs.

Yer right jbone. Only about 20% of our tunes are even blues, sadly ( esp. since I play harp ), but we lump blues, honky-tonk, old Stones, Dead, Dylan,The Band, Steve Earle, Commander Coty, Burrito Brothers, even Talking Heads, Soul Asylum, The Beatles etc, all together. We just do it all "jam-band" style, with harp, mando, etc. I find harp parts on alot of that stuff, but get stuck playing boards too.

If we played more clubs instead of parties, picnics, fundraisers, festivals, we might have to be more genre specific. I've sat in with bands in some blues clubs in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area where you wouldn't want to throw most of that stuff out there or they wouldn't have you back.

neal, that feels good to see. Jo plays an epi emperor regent, no pedals of any kind. the silvertone amp works well for both harp and guitar in a duo setting i think.

bubba, a huge step for me some years ago was learning 3rd position. it's found a lot in country, jazz, swing, blues, etc. really broadened my realm of possibilities harp-wise.

i was playing in 2nd on that song but we're hoping to get some more vids up soon, some of which are in 3rd. we also have some on youtube currently under jawbone and jolene.
