kept seeing this name pop up all over the shop so i ran it thorugh youtube, are all his songs kinda fast and set it a certian sound of his own?

here is a example, they all got the same kinda sound to the songs, i know skip james is kinda guilty for this too but IMO skip was far more talanted

Some of 'em are like a live bar gig, some of 'em are folky acoustic stuff, and some of 'em have been edited with loops of R.L.'s playing over techno beats. Pretty wide variety.

God damn, i love RL Burnside, heres my favourites from whats on youtube:

And for extra treats, check out his grandson Cedric Burnside playing with Lightning malcolm

Every blues guy I love these days plays RL's style: Ritchard Johnston, Ben Prestage, the Left Lane Cruisers.

So yeah, count me as a fanboy.

Cheers,
j

that sounds great, i was & still am a huge techno fan, for the people in the uk i was a regular at HOG (house of god) for several years which along side Atomic jam are some of the main techno events in the uk, im more into the dark/industrial sounds of techno mainly from the old east german city's. I also like a bit of Japanese speedcore too.

Deffo gonna have a look for some of that. I never had you for a techno fan ricochet, i bet your a secret Ragga jungle fan too aint ya....... "what the time you have the dread, there done when a gunman back me up round 'da corner..........dread" Any old skool jungle fans will know the track im on about here

Farmaz,
You mentioned something like about Burnside being less talented than was Skip James; probably that's true; BUT talent isn't everything, I would little appreciate the most talented, creative cook in the world if he or she were not cooking up some dish that I like to eat. Same with music, would'nt you prefer to hear one less talented playing what you love to hear than to hear someone more talented playing something that does little for you?

Amen Les. Though personally i dont know what 'far more talented' means.

Skip aint dancing music, RL is.

RL wont raise the hairs on your neck often, but Skip almost always will.

Apples and oranges where Im sitting.
