Albert King

Does anybody know what kind of amp/amps Albert King used?
He gets such a rich intricately textured humbucker tone that I have never been able to replicate. I realize The Flying V is a part of it and I've played a V before so I know what to expect from them in terms of their tone and how they are different compared to my Les Paul. But his tone is almost single coil sounding in terms of the complexity but you can definitely tell it's humbuckers though. I'm talking about his tone more specifically on the album "I'll Play The Blues For You".
Does anyone know?
