Emergency Pick

Dont have a pick?....Those plastic clips that go on you bread and Hamburger roll bags work in a pinch. Best of all you can clip it to a string above the nut so you dont lose it.

They also work great as a poor man's straplock.

You could punch a hole in the soap, and then you'd never drop it.

I'm relieved that Rusty had the taste and decency to say "soap"!
That's not what I thought he'd say ;)

I'm glad nobody mentioned Prince Albert.

Does someone still have Prince Albert in the can?

My opinion:

FINGERS. You'll hear me say that a lot around here. There's a lot you can do with fingers that you can't do with picks, but the opposite is also true. For instance, it's a little difficult to do pinch harmonics with your fingers, and it's also difficult to do Travis/Finger techniques with a pick. I use picks on electrics because the solos are so much sweeter, but for pretty much everything else (excluding slide) the fingers are the way I go.

Flatpicks?

It just seems odd to me that you'd fingerpick otherwise, but flatpick slide.

Everyone thought it was odd when Warhol painted only in pastels. Everyone thought Einstein was odd. You never know, man.
