Back in the Red (Deer)

Postby stumblin » Wed Dec 09, 2009 9:01 am

Remember how I ran that Acoustic Blues session in The Red Deer for over four years until the pub got taken over by an incompetent, unprofessional, halfwitted knobstick?
Well... The pub has been taken over by new management, and is now music-friendly again.
I spoke with them a couple of weeks ago and we've just negotiated a new session.
Our first new session will be on Thursday 17th Dec. Hopefully, we'll be able to keep it going monthly.
This will mean that we effectively will have two sessions a month: 1st Wednesday each month at The Bath Hotel, and third Thursday each month at The Red Deer. So now there's no excuse for missing it! Apart from geographical considerations, natch.
See you there 8)

That's great news Andy! Good things happen when you take the initiative; good job! Priceless.

Yeah, Bubba, it surely is cool to be back in The Red Deer, they do a fine pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord Best Bitter, you just can't beat it and it's actually quite rare to find it these days :D
Oh, and we get twice the music now there are two sessions. I only hope some of the boys will turn up, it would suck if the first session under the new management regime consisted of just me!
Actually, I don't usually get nervous before a gig, but I often do before a session, funny that eh?
So... If'n you happen to be in the Sheffield area this coming Thursday night (17th Dec), drop in and make some noise.

Well, we had a moderately good head count on the night. The management agreed to keep our session on a monthly basis 8)
So, the next one will be on January 21st 2010.
Be there or be square :P
