There's a form for Londoners that threatens to spill out into the wider country, about registering your event with the police. Failure to do so can result in £20,000 fines or 6 months as a guest of Her Majesty. Sign up if you want your displeasure to be heard. Fuller details are on the Michael Messer forum in Talking Blues.

Signed up... Seems a pointless form as there's already stuff in place to control that... Except the race thing?!

That's the sort of thing that incited my forebears to revolt against the Crown.

indeed... Loads of my mates including me have realised that anarchy is the only realistic future... and that next election we're just gonna mess up the papers... I doubt anarchy's gonna happen but it'd be a future.

I'll sign the petition, as a gesture of solidarity with our less fortunate southern comrades.
It must be bad enough having to talk in rhyming slang through your nose all the time, without having to put up with this kind of nonsense.
The proposed legislation is probably illegal and is likely to be abandoned somewhere along the way, but we'd better oppose it just in case.

Meanwhile...
If H.M. Govt. wants us to exercise ourselves over this diversion, I can only wonder what other Machiavellian Machinations are they cooking up, behind closed doors with their proposed racist anti-music law as a smokescreen?

Maxx, a very interesting thread here. Is the purpose of this really to get gigging bands to admit how much they are paying for tax reasons??
i am suddenly glad we keep receipts!!!

In theory at least, the info the police have is legally unavailable to the Inland Robbinyou or benefit agencies, but of course a nudge or nod in the right direction, wheels within wheels etc....
