On Sunday, Jane and I were shopping in the Morning - and hanging at the crib, watching movies, later on. Sorry we missed you.

Dang, that's gonna be a show with Susan Tedeschi and Etta James. That would be worth traveling to the east coast for, Warren. I almost bought one of those one time digital cameras.

Maybe next time, Dan. I know Walter's planning another deal and who knows what might come up before then. I'm hoping to do some more travelling around.

Very cool. I bought Susan Tedeschi's DVD and loved the incredibly talented musicians in her band. I gotta say I was shocked to hear her speaking voice. It was hilarious to hear the contrast between her balls out vocals and then she would say thank you like in this high sweet school girl voice. But we're all kinda that way.

I like it when MrsP dresses in her cheerleader outfit and uses THAT voice! }>

Got Etta James Rocks the House...

I picked up an Etta James "Live" CD for a buck at the Dollar store the other day.

Man, it is absolutely filthy...totally uncensored, every other line is laced with profanity. I must say it doesn't add anything to the performance, actually just the opposite. I much prefer implied activities in blues vocals. The band sucks too, the guitar is WAY TOO LOUD and guy is an absolute shredder, just a zillion notes. It'd be interesting to find out when and where this was recorded, but alas the CD contains no liner notes.

Just shows that you never know what you'll get for a buck!

Mickey, I am glad to hear that, I was beginning to worry about ya a little.

Bosco, That still sounds worth a dollar. I'll buy it from you! Maybe I'll go look in the dollar store. Hey, Everyone have a good weekend!

I got an audition CD for a band I'm thinking about trying out for. They're young and kinda along the lines of Candlebox who I love as far as newer(?) bands go. I actually warmed up for over an hour doing rudiments and exercises before trying to play to the CD which I have listened to several times already. If nothing else, it's gonna be good experience. I love the drumming on it. I found myself having a lot of fun with it. I figure by next week I'll know whether I can do it if I've learned most of the songs. All originals and I like the lyrics and the guitars and bass rock. We shall see.

I missed the last blues jam that I found out of town. A very friendly and talented good sized group of people. One guy I met already sent me a MP3 of one of his keyboard originals. I am committed to playing next time which will hopefully be next week. I got my "man pants" ready, Bubba. NO I don't need em here. I feel very comfortable. I'm a ready.

I thought he was quite serious about Mrs. Painless, her cheerleader costume and "little girl voice."

Ya know what the cool thang is.... not only does she still have her cheerleader outfit (class of 73), it STILL fits and she looks REALLY good in it!
