Last weekend

This is the 2nd year in a row that my band "West Ella" has played an antique tractor fest at our local Growers Mkt.
Expecting a lot of request for Waylon, Willie and Hank, we fortified ourselves well. Not one request for Country.
Our Blues and Southern R&R had the grandma's and the denim overall dudes dancin in the gravel, got asked to play for the corporate John Deere Xmas
party and besides our $$$ fee, made a shoebox full of tips. By now we should have learned that the Blues transcends
social barriers and when played with love and a respect for the music; it's appreciated no matter what the usual taste of
the audience. I for one consider it an honor and a pleasure to play the music I grew up listening to on XERF Cuidad Acuna, Mexico, Just across the border from Del Rio, Texas. Wolfman Jack, we love you man. RIP
