Canned Heat will be @ the historic El Rey theater in downtown Albuquerque on 06/08/07. My band, The blue rhythm kings will have the honour of playing the opening set. If you are in NM and love the blues
come see this show. Come introduce yourself( I am the guy with the bass) Oleman will testify that I dont bite
Thanks, Fat Paul

Do they still have the same frontman they had back in the early 70's...? That guy was a classic frontman.

I'm not shure who is fronting the band at this point. I think it should be a fun gig. Most of the bigger names that we have opened for have been real cool.
Pablo Gordo.

Looks like the only original member of CH left is the drummer Fito de La Parra. Still classic blues and boogie.

Sr. Paul is correct. He don't bite.

Wish I could be there Fat Paul! Tear em up!!

I'm afraid Bob the Bear is long gone as is thier other great fornt man Al the Owl.

If anyone is interested in the history of Canned Heat there's a full length bio of the Blind Owl that should be coming off the printers as we speak. Keep your eyes peeled.

J-Ro: everybody dyin' off reminds me of the feeling you get when you take a holiday weekend at a resort, and you don't leave the place 'til Monday mornin' and the scene of all the frivolity is empty and deserted. It's a lonely, sad feelin'.
