Problems, how to get them, favorite songs to play, groupies, funky bar owners, etc. NO names of clubs, please.

Yeah, most drummers want to be active - obviously, it is more entertaining to them. I don't know how many times I've passed comment on drums on ghuitar-based CD when speaking with a drummer friend of mine, only to have him say something like "You like him because you're a guitarist - as a drummer I find him to be boreing." NAture of the beast, I guess.

The BEST blues drummers, in my experience of listing to many live shows - are the most talented guys. I find jazz to be similar. I expect this is because they have nothing to prove, and are confident.

Now - one of you mentioned Bonham , implying he was nothing more than a loud beater - I dispute this and point to the work he did on Led Zepplin I as proof - extremely tasteful, behind the beat, etc. Just listen to "Since I been Lovin' You".
