As stated earlyer we opened for the Delphonics tonight. Great crowd, great venu, great soundman. did I mention the great crowd. Clapping, shouting, screeming, dancing and generaly treating us like stars. I would not trade this life of a gigging musician for a million bucks.

That is too cool. Glad to hear it , really glad to hear that. How do you work out being a gigging musician with your wife and family? I know when I first came on brb you were talking about a new bass you had bought that your wife had agreed to with a few promises that looked to me like you were gonna win either way! She must be supportive. But what about the late nights and being gone weekends etc. How does that work out? Thanks. And I am so happy to hear that gig went so well. Are there more coming up?

Thanks Y'all. Lorilu, Mrs. Fat Paul and I have been involved in wedded bliss for almost 23 years. In that time I have been a very good boy. I like to look and flirt a little but it stops before I get in any real trouble. It also helps that she carrys a big gun as a part of her job.

Yea, I've been having some pretty good times lately, too.

Allan, very cool site. I have often thought it would be cool to busk. We might try this with a project that we are putting together.
1four5, yep cuffs, asp(colapsable batton), air taiser and training to use it all. Keeps me form even thinking unclean thoughts

I sure envy you guys playin the blues for big crowds! Me and the other half of our blues duo have been stuck as sidemen and backup vocals for a
C&W singer/songwriter; Playing small festivals in small towns for small $$. Still it's kinda fun watching cowgirls in tight wranglers, two step to our bad renditions of Waylon, Willie, and Hank. Playing with a steel and fiddle sure is a trip.

Holy smokes fatpaul... there aint no gettin out of line for you!

It is fun reading you guys's stories...especially as I drink my coffee and get ready to head out the door to work...where I've been turning wrenches for the last 20 years.

Sounds like a great gig. I found out last week that my band is opening for Denise LaSalle in July. We're playing at a venue that's really well known for national chitlin circuit musicians. That should be a great gig, and that night we're headlining a big DC Blues Society benefit show.
