The Delphonics on 05/28/06 at the El Ray in Albuquerque. Y'all may remember The Delphonics, a soul band that had a string of hits in the 60's and 70's. Well we got booked as the opening act. Looks like the summer booking season is in full swing. How sweet it is..

I LOVE them! How exciting for you. I love that R&B rhythm sound. What will you guys be playing? Are you gonna record it?

Lorilu, We will be playing our normal blend of oldies, R&b and blues. I dont know about recording this show as we are just an opening act and the headliners might take a dim view of it but.... our upcoming gig at the womans prison is being video taped by a cable channel. I am looking forward that. Also I will to poast a link to my band page

PS I am the bass player. Paul is my middle name and you can see where the fat part comes from.

AWESOME!!! Really nice web page, too. Brother E is a cutie pie! All you guys are - looks like a fun band. Is that you with the two basses crossed? You are adorable. Mrs. P, I'm just sayin... :P

Lurilu, the big guy with the crossed axes is Danny. That guy is one of the best guitar players that I have ever heard. I am the guy playing harmonica top row. We all switch off different instruments.

If I get the chance in the next few years I would like to take a road trip cross the country - if my finances improve. I think it would be fun to travel and go see everyone's band and stop in and say hi. Maybe, next year this time when my daughter graduates we can do a little travelling and we will have to go see your band, Paul. Nothin like a good horn section. Some of my favorite bands for over 30 years (wow, that makes me sound old) have been Tower of Power and Cold Blood.

Lurilu, the welcome mat is always out and as stated before... the beer is cold and the enchiladas are hot. Always a good time to be had.

Can't think of anything better than that. I'll be there or I'll be square. In fact, I just had a couple coronas and lemon the other night. Congratulations again on the gig.
