Anyone have a 12" 4ohm speaker?

Postby bignick » Mon Feb 09, 2009 7:01 pm

I need one for a 1x12 cab. I don't really care about the make or model. My solid state Crate head has a 4 ohm output. I can run an 8 ohm speaker into it but it cuts the power. I could also buy a 2x12 but then I have 2 cabs laying around and I don't need that right now.

Me I got a big speaker or 2 like that but I don't know the Ohms of them, maybe if I look I will see it stamped on there somewheres Do you ever come down around Chicago? I got too much stuff like that I don't use and I promised my wife to make some disappear. Last year I gave a couple 12 inchers to my wife's cousin in law, his intended speaker cabinet being the trunk of this car, man, the dirty look his wife gave me as he carried off those speakers!

You do mean just the speakers right? not in cabinets? They are not in cabinets.

Hell no, just the speaker. BUT it does need to be 4ohm. 8ohm speakers are easy to find.

I can't pay more than $35-$40 either because I can get a replacement Fender speaker for that much new.
