Vox Va5 "All thumbs"

Hi gang,

Ok I've done exactly what some of you said when I went to pick my street busking amp out and I took my guitar.
OK let's get started.

The Roland Micro Cube ( Pros )
1.The price was pretty good $123.50 out the door.
2.It was black & silver.
3.It had 2 effects I was really looking for which is The Acoustic sizer & the Brit Combo.
4.It was very light and slick looking

The Roland Micro Cube ( Cons )
1.Had Poor sound & sounded like it came from a paper cup and a string.
2.The effects of the cube were Ok but didn't sound that fancy when playing.
3.The speaker grill looked all shoty and warn out.

The Vox Da5 Amp ( pros )
1.The sound was incredible & Loud for such a small amp.
2.The style & overall appearance was phenomenal.
3.The Price was very good & acceptable.
4.The effects Sounded much better then the RMC amp.
5.Had a better looking strap then the RMC amp.
6.If your looking for that old fashion tube sound this is it.

The Vox Da5 Amp ( cons )
1.It was a little heavier then the RMC amp.
2.Didn't have the 2 effect's I was looking but I can get them later on.
3.You will need 3 C batteries and the batteries will only last about 2-3 hours ( Ok fors street busking )

Overall rating is a 4 1/2
I would have gave it all 5 stars if it had the 2 effects I've been wanting before I moved into my new place.

I would suggest getting this little red terror ( or whatever color you like ) because it's a great amp and it has a killer sound & tone.

Any questions feel free to ask.

I love VOX. I haven't played the Amp you purchased but, my VOX ToneLab LE is a guitarist's wet dream come true. :D

How do you like yours?

I was even thinking about getting a small cab for my small amp if that's possible.

As long as it has an output for an extension cab, it's possible. What would you need the cab for?

Well I don't really need a cab. if I were to get something for that amp it would be a looper & 6 c batteries.
