Note the bass Baffels in da corners, between the ceiling and corner control and the heavey curtians on the bay window this studio is very tight and sound is fantistic!![img]http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c204/601blues/studio009.jpg

Dang 601 I got to show the wife your pics here so she'll get off my butt about having to much music stuff. "Just how many guitars can you play at one time" I hear that on a daily basis and I've only got four. Looking good from this end I'm wanting to build a studio space out of our spare bedroom but I don't think its going to happen. I'm considering building garage with a loft detached from the house to put my studio in. She'll go ballistic if I had a band practicing in the house or trying to record so thats probably the best idea. By the way how large is your studio dimensionally?

Keep up the good work

Thanks Jeff and Stratman!! My studio is only 10'6" wide and 18' long is was My front porch I closed it in with the wood wall and double insulated windows, Iwas going to buy and old used office Trailor, with a big HVAC system on the end Iam sure youve seen What Iam talkin about! You can get thease very cheap if you look around, The one I was lookin at was 12' by 55' But you have to consider your climate control, you have to maintain heat and aircondition, and here in the south its AC 9months outta the year,so that would be a big expence just for the big office trailor, So the house Ive got to heat and cool anyway so I don't have that expense,as long as I leave the door open to the rest of the house Iam ok, However I installed a small 110 ac in the window if I spend a lot of time playin with the door shut,I just turn that on, I think the seceret is sound control the accoustial ceiling I put in gives great sound you don't need to play loud,I had bass players and drummers there before the ceiling and baffels were there and it wasen't real bad but it will be better now,

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Apr-10-06 AT 06:29 PM (EST)]Just FYI, you hear people useing eggcrates and such, don't waste your time!! it don't work, The ceiling you see 10x18 cost less than 300.and its tru sound control,if I had got it thru MF or such it would have cost 900. But I got this material from Foam by mail.com check it out for baffels or sound panels it does make a diff, you may not need do as much, but with the brick walls I have I needed to get serious, and Iam very pleased!!Also see the pic with the curtains that was a bay window to the once front porch, thats our formal living room in there ,my baby grand sits in that cubby, so I can raise the windows there if we are using the piano,or I can use the living room as a control rm if Iam recording just run the cable thu the window!!So Ive used the space very well I think!! Yup I used to get the what you need dat for? from muh Baby!!And that really kinda motivated me to get beyound the novice garage band thing and start makin some money with it,so now we have a understandin I don't take household monies for my music but you cain't have my music money either, so I play gigs and sell CDs and sell downLoads, and I spend that on my music stuff.
